The quote on the back page truly sums up this book when it states, “This hilarious tale filled with colourful illustrations is perfect for the young reader learning to deal with dragons of their own.”
How to Tame Dragons and Hush Hyenas is a children’s book which shows a young boy who gets very angry. The purpose of the story is to teach him (and the reader) how to deal with this anger. In a lot of ways it reminded me of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, but it also teaches the reader how to deal with bad times! It also greatly reminds me of Jameon’s Closet which teaches kids how to deal with negative emotions.
This book shows kids that negative emotions don’t only affect you, they affect everyone around you! The fun illustrations and interesting approach make this an excellent book to give to your kids.
I am positive the children will love the cover of this book. Teaching children to handle anger and negativity at a young age is very beneficial. Sounds like a great book.
