Beyond the Mirror ~Book Review~

Beyond the Mirror: Seechers

By: M.K. Williams and Natalie Kavanagh

Cleanliness (See “About” for scale): Yuck (10+ curse words)

Stars: 4.5

This book is absolutely amazing! Although the storyline appears to be a fairly basic fantasy book, the scientific/mental aspect of the “magic” and the writing itself takes it to an entirely new level. There was not a single moment I was bored while reading this book, and there was also not a moment that felt too rushed – I was truly impressed.

I love the characters in Beyond the Mirror. They all feel very real and have genuine reactions to difficult situations. The dialogue never felt forced and flowed nicely with the story.

The two main things that originally drew me to this book were first – the cover! Just look at that gorgeous design! The second thing was the award-winning, 17-minute short film that was written and directed by the author Natalie Kavanagh. Judging by how professional and well-done the Seechers film was, I figured her book would be excellent, too! I’m glad I was correct. Take a look at her short film on YouTube: Seechers.

I am definitely hooked on this book and hoping that another one will be coming out soon! If you’re a fan of Harry Potter feeling magic but in more realistic scenarios, this might be a good book for you! Because although the Seechers seem to pull you into a magical world, the world of subconscious is actually within all of us. Perhaps you simply don’t know how to access it yet.
