This book is a fun story of a little kid who wants to be the highest kid in the world – specifically taller than the sun. It teaches kids that absolutely anything is possible if you are inventive and use your imagination! The illustrations are fairly simplistic, but very cute!
I loved the educational aspect of this book. It takes us from the pyramids in Giza to Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Many of the pages are full of fun facts. Even I didn’t know how far away the sun is from Earth in feet! The one thing that stood out as questionable was the statement that a telescope is “a type of binocular.” Although I have a very limited knowledge of telescopes, I believe that is incorrect.
One thing that I truly couldn’t overlook was the sheer amount of grammatical errors sprinkled throughout the book. It, as well as the formatting, was quite distracting.
Overall, however, this is a very cute book that teaches kids to reach for the stars (literally)! It’s a fairly enjoyable read.
