Bare Your Bookshelf ~Book Tag~

bookshelf tag

I was tagged by Lily over at Lily Anna Writes to do this tag! Thank you! Check out her post here: Tag. Let’s get started!

  • A Book You Own, But Haven’t Read Yet

Oh… you mean all of them? HA! But really, I would say that I have around 80+ physical books on my shelf that I have not read. They don’t go to waste, though, because my family is constantly using my shelves as a library.

  • Books Your Friends Love

I don’t really pay attention to what my friends read. I don’t really have many that are big readers. One friend of mine really likes war books. My other friend is constantly reading the Bible. So, those count right?

  • Books By An Author You Love

I absolutely love Colleen Coble! Her recent book The House at Saltwater Point was amazing!! (Check out my review here: Review.) I currently have another one of her books that I am dying to read called Freedom’s Light.

  • Books At The Bottom Of Your TBR

I don’t really have a bottom or a top. It’s just a giant, overwhelming heap. Haha

  • Books With Color In The Title

I just examined my entire shelf, and I don’t think I have a book with a color in the title! I’ll go with The Boy in the Striped Pajamas because “striped” is as close to a color as I can get!

  • Books Set Somewhere You’d Like To Visit

I’ve dreamt of going to London since I was a little girl. I have about a million books set there. ❤

  • Most Collected Author

Definitely Janette Oke! My friend bought me almost her entire collection even though I’ve only read two of her books.

  • Mismatched Series

A Series of Unfortunate Events. I collected them from all kinds of charity shops, so they are all different editions.

  • Books You Love, But Don’t Remember Well

That’s basically defines my life! Haha. I don’t have a great memory. I guess I’ll go with The Penderwicks on this one. I remember adoring it, but I’m not sure what it’s about.

  • How Many Books Do You Have?

I may be a little weird because I count and organize my books every single November. I haven’t done it yet this year, but last year I had 371. (Without a couple of my comic collections, it’s really 263.)

  • Is Your Shelf Everything You Want It To Be?

Short answer: No. Long answer: I have way too many books piled up right now. I’m pretty bad at arranging my decorations in a cute way, too. I wouldn’t mind it looking a little better, but it’s not bad.

I did it! Were your answers similar to mine? How many books do you own? Thanks for reading!

I tag:

  1. Jana from Reviews from the Stacks
  2. Lyn from Nomadic Worlds
  3. Maria from Bookgraphy
  4. Kay from Hammock of Books
  5. Everyone else reading this!

Tag! You’re it!

  2. I don’t even dare count my books! I lived in (or on the outskirts of) London for ten years and it never got old. I have been away for four years now and I still miss it. It will always be my favourite city I think. I love the South Bank, I love all the parks, I love people watching there. I love the River, I love all the stuff going on and its incredible history. Yes, I definitely miss it!

  3. I used to count my books once a year too!! But now the TBR bites me if I touch it and don’t intend to read anything soooo….
    The majority of my books are Fantasy, they are all really dark colours. So, I can’t do the Rainbow Bookshelf thing ; _ ;

      1. Thank you, I may do it (inspired by you ), I am guilty of not following through with some posts I have been tagged in, because I am the most disorganized person hahaha, and I too do not know whom to tag. Sometimes I disappear from internet without a trace, and sometimes it takes powerful force (like two kids and a man) to pull me away from online life…
