Everyone has bad habits, and every reader has bad book habits. Today, I am going to be sharing some of mine! Thanks to Maria at Bookgraphy for the tag! I may be using a few of your answers…. Hehe. Check out her post here: Bookgraphy.
I actually do this A LOT and I don’t even mean to! I will see something interesting down the page and decide to just skip the part I was reading, even if I liked it. I frustrate myself sometimes because I miss important things!
Judging a book by its cover
Yep, all the time. I can find books that sound super interesting and not get them because I don’t like the cover… There are just sometimes that it feels like you can already tell the book isn’t going to be your thing because the cover isn’t. Am I the only one who feels this way?! I also really love pretty books on my shelf…
Forgetting to mark my place
This is beyond frustrating!!!! I close the book and immediately go “oh, no..” Luckily, I’m getting faster at finding my place again! Haha!
Forcing myself to finish books
Even when I hate them. I feel a very strong need to finish all books I start. Maybe I just want to be able to say I read it?
Fully enveloping myself in a book
If I like a book, don’t talk to me while I’m reading. I most likely won’t hear you, and if I do, I’ll probably ignore you. I love losing myself in a bookish world, but sometimes my mood will be totally changed by it. I may even act a little bit like the main character for a while after reading! It’s a super weird thing for me, but it just comes naturally.
Those are some of bad reading habits! Do you have the same ones as me? What bad reading habits would you add to this list? Tell me in the comments below! Thanks for reading!
