Just Let Go

Just Let Go is a dramatic story of fame, hurt, failure, forgiveness, and love. The base plot-line reminded me a lot of Pride and Prejudice — prideful, arrogant (rich) guy meets prideful (poor) girl, they hate each other, and then they fall in love. Of course the story was much different than Pride and Prejudice all together, (I can’t remember Darcy being an Olympic skier!) and it made for quite a complex tale.
I loved the setting of this book! Everything began and ended in a small tourist town, Harbor Pointe, Michigan. It was so cute, yet the story was still believable!
My main problem at the beginning was that I disliked both of the main characters… Grady was super rude and annoying (which was okay because he was supposed to be), but Quinn was very hostile and irritating as well! It took me a while to get past that, and luckily I did come to like them by the end.
Just Let Go is a book all about getting out of your comfort zone, and romance books (especially slightly sappy ones) are definitely outside of mine! It took me a little while to get through it (It’s almost 400 pages!), but I did find it pretty enjoyable. If you like cute romance, this book is definitely worth a read!
I’ve been in the mood for cute romance! I might just check this one out. Thanks for liking my post.

I love romance, but I dislike when main characters are hostile. It’s hard to like them, particularly when one (or both) characters are unnecessary rude to one another. Also, if the author does not make the transition from hate to love smooth, it just hard to buy the idea, that someone could fall in love in those circumstances.. I think this one would not be for me, unfortunately.

Yes, I agree.
The transition was okay. It was slightly abrupt. The rudeness was a little too much to me. Enjoyable by the end, but the process of reading it wasn’t as fun. Haha
