Happy Mother’s Day to all you beautiful mommas out there, and especially to mine! She’s always been there and supported me through so much (even this blog)! ❤
I decided, in celebration, to talk about one of my favorite motherly characters: Marilla Cuthbert from Anne of Green Gables!
There were so many characters that I wanted to choose for this, but none quite like Marilla. Not only is she loving and caring, but she always tries to do what is best for Anne. She has her strict and even mean moments, but all good mothers do. Her love is shown in all of her actions, and I think that’s why I like her so much.
Who is your favorite book mother and why? Make sure to tell me in the comments and have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Molly Weasley is my favorite! She’s so loved and supportive of her family and a stereotypical “mom” but she’s got a strong side to her too and I love that. Molly Weasley is the kind of mom I’d love to be

I agree! She was probably my second choice! ❤️

I was going to say Molly Weasley too!! Such a nurturing and wonderful character – and man, do I NOT want to get on her bad side lol 🙂

Same here! She’d scare me a little if she were my mom, but then again, she’s super sweet at other times (and I’d probably be more like Percy as a kid than Fred or George, so I probably wouldn’t be on her bad side haha)

You could be the angel child she adores. 😛 Haha!

I don’t know if this counts, but all I can think of as being a good mother is Michelle Benoit who was Scarlet’s grandmother in The Lunar Chronicles… I mean, she basically raised Scarlet, I think it counts! 😀
Happy Mothers Day!

It counts! A grandmother had to be a mother at one point, right? 😆

I’d probably choose Sally Jackson from the Percy Jackon series.
